Free 2 Teach provides free resources to teachers in Madison County’s 3 public school systems. These resources are available to more than 3,800 full-time classroom teachers and their 53,000 students, improving the educational experience of our children, and strengthening our community’s future workforce.

THE NEED

Teachers receive limited resources for classroom supplies. Each year many of our teachers spend between $500 and $1500 of their own money to buy supplies for their students and classrooms. Now more than ever, teachers are having to provide critical school supplies for their disadvantaged students.

OUR SOLUTION

Operate a free resource store stocked with teaching materials and classroom supplies, funded and donated by the community, available for free to our 3,800 teachers.

THE RESULTS

For the 2022-2023 school year, the Free 2 Teach has already hosted over 2,000 teacher visits and has distributed almost $1 million in supplies since opening on July 11th, 2022.
